8 weeks pregnant your baby is the size of a kidney bean
Baby Facts:
At 8 weeks your baby is 1.6 cm. The eyes are more developed and even have pigmentation.
The inner and outer ear are both taking shape.
The arms are more developed and the hands now have ridges that will grow into fingers. They start out as webbed as the weeks go on they’ll take full form.
Your baby is looking more and more human. The tadpole-like tail is almost gone as the baby continues to grow.
Symptoms:
This week I had my first break from morning sickness. And I was terrified! I didn’t understand why I felt so good. I woke up with energy and I was able to do some pushups and yoga like I used to do every morning before getting pregnant. Heck, I felt like running a marathon that’s how good I was feeling!
Like I said this scared me. I felt like something was wrong, I thought I wasn’t supposed to be feeling better I was worried about the baby but I had to wait until next week to see the Dr. I started to cry on my way to work. Luckily one of my friends at work has had 5 healthy boys. So I asked her what was wrong with me.
She assured me nothing was wrong unless I was having bleeding or cramping, which I wasn’t. She explained it like this: your body gets used to the HCG (the pregnancy hormone) so you’re body starts to handle it better. Meaning you don’t throw up as much for feel so crappy.
Then she warned me it might come back again, and if I’m unlucky like her then I’d stay sick the whole 9 months.
She was right the next night I couldn’t hold down dinner. I was so nauseous and exhausted. The morning sickness had returned once again.
